About Throop 27 Engine & Rescue

The youngest of the two remaining independent companies is Volunteer Hose Company of Throop.

This Company was charted in 1928. Over the years this company has been known by 3 (three) separate monikers; "vols" and "Throop No. 3" and after 64 (sixty four) years as primarily providing Engine Company operations to the Borough, the company established Rescue Company protocols and soon thereafter was know as the 27 Rescue. The 27 Engine & Rescue companies are presently led by Chief Alec Shattin and the positions of Captain is held by Vince Cesari III, Lieutenant Josh Rose. Art Davis serves as the organization's chief engineer. Their term are for the calendar years 2026 and 2027.
All Borough of Throop Fire Operations are led by Volunteer Hose Company of Throop.
